House of Ruth - Lobby Installation
Baltimore, MD

The lobby installation was a collaborative design and fabrication project that I did with Rebecca Burr, Rachel Rusk, Amy Carlson, Victoria Schultz, So Hee Kim, Darcy Argain with the mentorship of Sarah Doherty and Cynthia O'Neill. As a collaborative designed two installations: one for the ceiling and one for the wall both to commemorate past victims of domestic violence and to help welcome current survivors to the organizations and the space. The ceiling piece consists of metal, copper and fabric shapes that had been cut and bent, and installed in a circular uplifting fashion. The wall piece consists of hexagons hand planed, cut and glued in the to suggest the power of the collective. Visitors to the space can place gem stones within the shapes to remember past victims.
